Anton Shukhinin: Biography, Professional Path, and Social Initiatives — Domino
Anton Shukhnin is a Ukrainian entrepreneur and founder of the DOMINO brand, known for its combination of modern style, high-quality service and its own fashion philosophy. Today, DOMINO is an online store of premium clothing and a network of boutiques. However, the path to creating the brand began long before its appearance — with obtaining a legal education and taking the first steps in entrepreneurship.
Education
In 2010, Anton graduated from the Economics and Law Faculty of Donetsk National University with a degree in “Jurisprudence.” He did not stop there. In 2014, he defended his dissertation in administrative, financial and information law, earning the academic degree of Candidate of Legal Sciences. Later, he began work on a doctoral study focused on the use of public funds and their impact on the activities of local self-government bodies.
Beginning of his career
Anton gained entrepreneurial experience while still studying at university. After receiving his diploma, he worked as a legal adviser, which allowed him to better understand the legal side of commercial processes. During this time, he began forming his own vision of business — structured, responsible and oriented toward long-term development.
In 2010, Anton registered the DOMINO GROUP trademark. At that time, it was a small business he developed independently. The main idea was to create a service focused on quality, structure and attentiveness to the client. Over the years, the project grew and gradually transformed into a brand with a recognizable style, its own approach to forming collections and a modern management system.
Development of DOMINO and relocation of the company
The year 2014 became a turning point for many Ukrainian businesses, and DOMINO was no exception. After the occupation of Donetsk, Anton decided to relocate the company to Kyiv. Under the new circumstances, he managed not only to quickly restore the brand’s operations but also to rebuild processes from scratch, which facilitated active business expansion.
In the capital, the brand formed a new audience, launched a premium online store and later opened boutiques that became part of modern fashion culture. The DOMINO team began developing new directions, offering clients stylish collections, personalized service and the opportunity to combine luxury clothing with Ukrainian identity.
Charitable projects and the creation of the Domino Foundation
With the growth of the brand, a new direction also emerged — supporting people affected by the war. Together with his wife, Anastasiia Shukhnina, fashion director of DOMINO.UA, Anton founded the Domino Foundation. This fund was created as a separate charitable initiative combining entrepreneurial experience with the desire to help those who need it most.
The main focus of the Domino Foundation is supporting internally displaced persons, families of military personnel and units performing combat missions. The fund implements programs providing displaced persons with essential items, helps children adapt to studying in new conditions, and participates in humanitarian and cultural projects. For example, before the start of the 2025/2026 school year, the foundation’s team delivered sets of school supplies to hundreds of displaced families to support children and reduce the financial burden on parents.
For Anton and Anastasiia, creating the Domino Foundation became a logical continuation of DOMINO’s work. The brand, which operates in the modern Ukrainian fashion industry, gained the opportunity to step beyond the commercial sphere and participate in socially important processes. Systematic charity became part of the company’s philosophy and proved that business can be beneficial not only economically but also socially.
Support for the Defense Forces of Ukraine
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Anton Shukhnin actively joined efforts to support Ukrainian soldiers. His involvement was not limited to one-time contributions — he systematically financed the purchase of equipment and gear, including high-mobility vehicles for units of the Main Intelligence Directorate. This support became one of the key directions of his activity throughout the years of the war.
Anton has repeatedly emphasized that the future of the country depends on the people who are defending it on the front line. That is why he considers supporting the army to be his direct duty. He stresses that business must remain in Ukraine and contribute to strengthening the state:
“We are raising our children here, in our own country. And we want them to grow up in safety. Today this is possible only thanks to our defenders, so helping the army is not an act of goodwill, but a conscious position.”
Information attacks
Due to his active civic stance and systematic cooperation with defense structures, Anton Shukhnin has repeatedly become a target of information attacks. Fake accusations such as allegedly “conducting business on the territory of Russia or Crimea” appeared in the media space. These reports had no factual basis and were spread as part of attempts at discreditation. In some cases, criminal proceedings were opened against individuals who disseminated false information.
All official inspections confirmed the absence of any compromising evidence or violations. Such information attacks were regarded as elements of hostile information operations targeting businesspeople who assist the Ukrainian military.
